Moxibustion

Moxibustion has developed in parallel to acupuncture as a healing method in China. These two methods complement each other perfectly and are often combined. Acupuncture points, meridians or larger areas of the body are stimulated using heat. Moxa, the wool of the mugwort herb, is used for this purpose. Of course, cold in the body can be treated particularly well using moxa. However, moxa is also used to expel pathogens or to strengthen the Qi. In the case of a breech presentation, moxibustion even helps the embryo to adopt a better birth position.
