Acupuncture
The intention of acupuncture is to bring yin and yang into balance and allow qi, the life energy, to flow freely. It influences an energetic network that runs through the entire body, connects everything with each other and is accessible to us in the form of meridians and acupuncture points.
I work with different styles of acupuncture, primarily Chinese and Japanese acupuncture, which are based on the same classical scriptures but have developed differently due to historical and cultural influences. Japanese acupuncture complements Chinese medicine in that it favours finer materials and techniques and has integrated diagnostic testing structures into the treatments themselves.
In acupuncture, I work with the familiar needles as well as with non-invasive ‘needles’ (teishin), which are applied to the acupuncture points and meridians without penetrating the skin.
